If anybody would like to see a copy of a carers assessment and/ or carers assessment checklist could you either email me on Lelee2222@aol.com or leave your email address and I'll contact you. They're both too large to post on this forum.

They are a good tool for identifying need and also for recognising carers' roles in their own right You'd be surprised at how much you actually do. As you'll see in the Carers Equal Opportuntities Act, all carers have a right to an assessment.

It would be good to have a collective view on what services are most needed for carers within substance use as these need to be identified so funding can be directed at them....hopefully.

We would have a better chance of successful treatment for our loved ones and our family welfare if the whole unit was worked with, not just part of it in isolation.

Thanks

I've just had an email from a carer who's been posting on the forum and says she's unable to get a post through now for some reason. If anyone else is having this problem just email me. Lelee2222@aol.com
Thanks
