Back into 'shared care'/ scripted from a great GP

My GP who has retired, has come back and pulled me out of CRI-back to shared care.....best news ever.....just a temporary measure, but a good one.....it puts me in a better position so they can't break confidentiality-which they do and I know this....there is a god....well a temporary one anyway
Also on Cry's leaflet they say they can and will inform relevant authorites....'no access to pnc'....Whatever Trevor
Also- sorry tpvalley, if you were offended in any way from any of my posts....I can be brutal sometimes...like Marmite you either love me or hate me...(other brands are available)

It's Anon33 back in shared care, not me, unfortunately. I would literally kill (well maim anyway) for a shared care slot.

pnc= Police National Computer
Not that I am a criminal, but I cannot see why we are all thrown into same pot.
Cheerz...he has to retire soon, but won't let us go until he feels we are 'safe'....so glad....but am still going to advocate for others
Good luck sapph

I'm in shared care & it is by the sounds of other peoples experiences with the so-called charitable DSPs a far better experience for the service user IMO. My key was starting to go down the road of telling people that enforced reductions around the corner & applying more pressure, twisting my words. I talked to my GP about it, who said they were not aware of any time limits on prescribing meth & will keep me on the same dose until I decide to reduce. GP's view is that enforced reductions just don't work or the majority of them don't anyway. I also told him that I felt my key was being judgemental. Key must of been given a talking to as I have never heard the "r" word come out their mouth since. Instead I think the new tactic is to ware me down with ECGs organised by local CDT, a couple a year you would think is enough when you've been on the same dose for x years & QT interval is borderline. I imagine I will be getting them at least quarterly now, until I either give in to their reductions, or my QT interval changes for the worse.
If you are on 100ml or less will they still carry on with these ECGs ? Did they carry on giving you ECGs when you were below 100ml sapph?
The GP I see is roughly the same age as me & we have a good relationship. I hope they don't take early retirement ! I'd be knocking on his house door asking if he had any script pads left over.
Wouldn't be a laughing matter, I'd hate to see another GP for my meth script. Have had the same one now for several years, with very little to complain about. Just the local CDT & their antics.
Good luck on the day sapph.
