No difference really both are mind-altering & both can cause addiction. The difference is gear is unregulated & therefore has no quality contol, we're only givem two options meth or bupe. You can walk into a supermarket without even planning on buying booze though with aggresive marketing leave with 6 bottles becuase they're on special deals of all kinds of variety. Wouldn't it be nice to have a super-pharmacy ? Yes, a special on opium this week...yes please!

Boots are a fucking nightmare.
When I moved to my present locale, about 5 years ago, Boots was the chemist they sent me to.
All meth patients had to go to a little "hatch" type thing, around the corner from the other pharmacy patients, so it was obvious what you were there for.
I had to complain to my CDT about the attitude of the pharmacist, and the fact that my dose kept being under ehat it should be, after complaining 1 pharmacy tech was sacked (he'd been nicking stuff and they caught him on a hidden CCTV), and the pharmacist tried to be nice, but you could tell it was all flase.
My new chemist is a small non chain one, and they are just fab!

Yeah big-up to the smaller Pharmacies, who actually know their dependants & treat them all as they should be. There have been times when the very kind Claire has gone out of her way to either keep you sorted, or even ran me to the Hospital in her own car. My weekly pick-up turns into a pleasant chat if she's not to busy. Don't know if it's the same with the loud crowd, if I was her I'd want them out my shop as quick as possible but from what I can see she treats everybody in a civil & polite manner. She could train a few keys, I bet.

Now that there is so much CCTV in most public areas, plods in my area just relax & watch the dispensary from a cosy office. Doesn't take a genius to work out what medication you are there to pick up, so they know exactly who's scripted & who isn't I imagine. So much for confidentiality eh ?

Boots actually have a policy to make all the addicts wait untill they have served the other customers. a number of years back I moved to a different town to escape the temptation of relapse from bumping into old friends. Boots would always ask you to come back later, usually 4pm. By 4pm there would be anything up to a dozen people sitting on the benches outside in the presinct waiting for their scripts. This totally defeated the whole point of mooving really. after just 1 month I had found 4 new places to score & I wasnt even looking.

I too have experienced this at Boots, you'd go in and get terrible service, and looked at like scum of the earth!

You are so right fixed. Its ridiculous. Our Boots was exactly the same! Pretty hard when ya trying to not think about scoring and there is 20 people outside doing just that. The only bad thing about my Co-op chemist is they don't serve the meth after 5pm! Bit silly when ya work

Got to admit they are a bit like that in our Boots, wait untill the other customers .Id like to know what makes the other customers any different, and the Hatch they have at some Boot's looks like the shop was built around it ,the one in my town is all old and wooden and the store is new ,lmao.I'd have changed and gone to a little family run one ,or smaller ones ,you get that little better service i think, plus the first name terms and all that.Out of all the chemists Boots in my town isok ,the only reason is its a small town ,the one in the one in big town like me look at you like your shit if you ask for a hitkit (new needles)let alone have to pick up there, glad my small branch is ok.All the best is Froude
