Like i said before you might aswel give your money to a tramp,you know the gear is shit in your area so why buy it?,your just wasteing your money,and it could be spent on better things.Do you think this might be a good way of thinking about treatment,the gears shit your getting wound up and it seems your just wasteing money.Personally once the gear is shit the dealer wouldnt see me again,then again when i was using i always had one or 3 people i could see and if they had shit gear then it was normally shit everywhere else.GOOD LUCK,All the best Froude

I remember talk of subbies but maybe that was another site user. If the gear is shit the best opioid hit your going to get is off a substitute ( meth / bupe ), unless you have a very rich father willing to pay for private treatment where the choice of substance is at least doubled. Get a script so you're at least not giving the unscrupulous dealer hard cash for what turns out to be a dream. We're getting to that time of year when everything is always bashed more than usual, xmas droughts etc.
So off to DSP or understanding GP that will get you on the dose which is right for you & relax knowing that whatever happens you're not going to be wasting your money on bash but will still have the opioids in your system, saving you from withdrawl.
You sound like you're still craving gear which if you were on the right dose of meth or bupe wouldn't happen. I know that I only stopped using once I reached a certain ml of meth, I might occassionaly use on top now if it's blinding gear or something pharmacuetical. If it's shit though I don't touch the stuff.
Sounds like you're underdosed, you maybe like it that way when the gears good because you can use on top. Being underdosed isn't so good if all you're getting is shite though.
Sort out your dose as soon as you can DSPs can get very lazy, sorry busy in the run up to xmas.

I wonder whether anything beyond fear and ignorance lie behind the decision to ban heroin and discourage any research into its potential as a medication. It certainly ain't no vote winner until the voting majority are dependant on some substance or another. Which if the Recovery Agenda fails is still unlikely. Even one in depth documentary on the success's of the Swiss, or German approaches aired by the good old BBC could sway a few minds. It appears that drug treatment is a dirty word just now. Probably because the likes of CRI or so many different DSPs are providing minimal care to their victims.

As we can see. CRI says absolutely nothing about helping to treat addiction. It is run like a probation service. The name says it all. CRI stands for Crime Reduction Initiatives. Bringing the false stigma that all people afflicted with addiction has to and must be linked with Crime..? A huge mistake to brand all service users in treatment as 'Criminals'. Do they have facts to back up this statement? Do not a large amount of those addicted try to work to keep their habits.

I feel as if I am now placed on probation without trial. Also being unfairly and wrongly branded as a Ciminal.  I am also a statistic that needs to be on medication just to keep the community safe and to stop me breaking in to their house?! What nonsense and utterly flawed. Should never have won the contract just for the name alone. This just shows us how untrusted, an embarrassment, and how stigmatized our addictive illness is to our government. Its a clear discrimination and needs to be looked into.

thanks guys for all your advice and yes Im on a script so im not clucking all over the place its just beleive it or not I like having a few lines,as you all know its not to get out of it,As for the guy who said the gear being shit in my manor thats true but Ive gone to loads of places and its all the same....like today for example had a black guy from london who does things down are way rings me and tells me {quote} I know the food has been bad of late but Ive got propper 9 out of 10,I said you said that last time,he sais honest this is pukka so like a mug I bought 3 for £25 sure enough utter crap yet again...thats its now for me guys Ive deleted his number,he aint having my money again,Im not gonna bother now untill after christmas,with a bit of luck it might get better by then....

I thing even CRI themselves, down my way at least, have realized the error of their ways in this regard. They are now trying to pass themselves off as 'Community Rehabilitation Initiatives'. Bit late me thinks. Twats!

Yeah, bit late with the change of name. If I didn't have any convictions on my record then I'd be asking for a letter of apology. Branding me a criminal, simply for having a different choice of medication. I don't suppose the management of SU's will change any though. They've just re-branded themselves under a slightly less offensive name. Whatever they call themselves wont make one bit of difference in how the SU is treated. Anybody & everybody who feels like they've been treated unfairly should write letters of complaint, against what appears to be the biggest thugs in the charitable DSP industry.

I was against CRI from the start....the bright sparks are now offering a xmas hamper to a service user comes up with a new name.....our service user group is about to be made homeless and the best they can offer is 'the use of their computers'....however if we join their ranks of what they think user involvement to be...we would probably get a purple office....we have computers and we aint joining....all the good keys have left....the mouldy ones are waiting to pick up the baton.....we have noticed most if not all the keys were ex prison guards....now the NHS has bowed out there are to be NO increases until January.....we are soooo fuct, I could honestly cry about it
