Ohh matty girls that age = nightmare! There is not talking to them. They know best. I was same lol. If I was you and I can imagine it would be hard but I wouldn't bite. Let her get on with it. She will grow out of it when she's in her 20's maybe. As OP8S said about the blood sugars. You can buy the kits for that. All ya need to do it tap ya finger end with the needle kit and place blood on the strip to test your levels. Suppose it looks more believable and you can also deter becoming a diabetic for real lol. Hope the step-daughter stops been as stroppy but I just cant see it. I've all this to come

Matty,
Diabetics use pre-filled devices these days and don't inject with needles and syringes, they do use needles but they are very tiny ones that screw on the end of the device.
I don't think you'll be able to keep up the pretence and hope you can manage to stop injecting soon anyway.
As for the girl on the public transport

I'm afraid too much is wrong with our society these days and the amount of people supporting the economy isn't sufficient. When interest rates rise and people start having houses re-possesed then there will be lots more race hate and violence.
If you haven't read Rivers of blood, here is a link and it seems that we are full circle again and we have to blame anyone for all of society's ills

That's right Simon, for my meds I have either tablets or a pen driver type thing that is auto filled.
No need for any type of needle like the sort you'd use to inject drugs with.
Matty - Rather than having to lie about having an illnes you don't have can't you just be more careful about not leaving used pins around?
I have to check my blood sugar levels three times a day, or more if one of the readings is off, or I miss a meal, or eat what I shouldn't etc!
