Ibogaine? Has this ibogaine treatment already been debunked as being useless in helping opiate addiction? Thoughts?

Ibogaine if approached at the right time in a persons life when they are using Methadone can be the miraculous catalyst that can transform their life over night. It takes a certain amount of focus and there must be a clear intent that there are no magic bullets regardless of the modality of detox program used. For example, 3 days after a 50 mg script of Methadone people are up and about without withdrawals or cravings. After another 2 days they are clean and ready to return to their lives. Of course continued support and complimentary therapy should be used to help bring about the unfolding process of learning to live again, but essentially yes...
Ibogaine actually works!

I think I may need to investigate this one further as I have heard some negative feelings about ibogaine withdrawal. Some of my users and ex users in my community think it is highly dangerous; although whether they have tried it, or have heard something negative about it is another thing?!
I have also asked on forums but not enough people really want to talk about it. But why, I don't know?
I mean some users say ibogaine detox treatment can make people so violently sick and mentally displaced. Also the amount of people returning to heroin usually just days after use from a shock withdrawal use of ibogaine makes me wonder is this a quick fix to no-where?. Although it could be a great tool for the user who is hardcore determined to break free from their addiction?. I do also take on board your account and have also heard how ibogaine has worked for some who are looking for a fast detox.
Although aren't some who take the steps towards ibogaine treatment already well into withdrawal stage? For instance, If I went into a ibogaine treatment center as a methadone user on say about 50ml daily. Then I would be refused ibogaine treatment for at least 72 hours. Then doesn't that mean that I have already done 72 hours of extreme bareback withdrawal before ibogaine is even introduced?!
I am very entrigued but I find it strange how something so simple can fix someone so quick and so easily without any down side. Withdrawal symptoms should be expected though. To think someone is mentally and physically free from withdrawal pangs after a week in treatment is hard to believe. Maybe there is a after care program which comes along with it at a price?
This would also make me wonder that if this is the wonder drug some people think it is then why haven't those who regulate medicine in drug treatment jumped on it so fast?! Thoughts?

The drug is Ibogaine. Ibogaine is an alkaloid derived from the root of the African plant tabernanthe iboga. It is a hallucinogenic substance used in the initiation ceremonies of the Gabonese Bwiti society. It is illegal in the USA and Belgium.
Looked at that link, total waste of time watching someone banging up and saying ,"when i first started taking dope id only use half a bag but now i gotta do 3 or 4,i wonder if it is the dope or my tolerance.Fucking dickhead its obviously your tolerence, where do these people come from.
As for the ibogaine ,everybody thinks its so good because it is like taking 100 trips ,when the tribes of the Gabon take it they see their spirits and forefathers, yeah the trip is a big one probably goes on for so long the opiates are out your body by the time you come out of it.
You might as well buy a load of base and trips and do it yourself, easier than going to Africa or Mexico,if like me your into your hallucingenic's im bang up for trying,if not stay well clear. All the best Froude
