Devon? They offer diamorph, phy amps, dex for speedfreaks & MST/Oramorph in the westcountry! It's the best area for prescribing now outside London. Merseyside used to be better until the 90s when Marks/Janiecowitz' Chapel Street Clinic shut down and the Wirral diamorphine policy was rescinded a few years later for new patients.
Why did you not go to the diamorphine script doctor in Plymouth? Not been using long enough at the time?
Fuck this for a game of soldiers, I'm out the door now on a train to the west country!!

This is one of the things that makes me so angry. The same level of care & treatment should be available to substance users across the U.K.
Why is it a postcode lottery when it comes to treatment. Surely the chance of " street seepage " is no different there than it is in any other city or rural area. I wouldn't imagine that it's because of economic viability as the substitute meds that appear to be on offer to users in treatment are more expensive than the usual green liquid, so why the difference in standard of care ? The only reason I can think of is local politics.
Are these substitute medications being provided by a charitable DSP, a private clinic or the NHS I wonder.
Some areas pay little attention to the Orange Guidlines, some stick to them like glue & other areas seem to have their own guidlines which they work around.
It makes no sense at all & highlights what a sorry set of affairs UK drug treatment is at present.

OP this was nearly 16 years ago I lived in Devon. And I was on meth already. I'd been using on top too but stuck to my meth once over there and got a job. Then Dad died I came back to Leeds and fucked up again lol. Story of my life for last 25 years! But yes Devon was very kind to me in the form of sleepers etc. I lived in Budleigh Salterton. Used to love going to the beach at night sitting on a boat and listening to waves crashing. But just couldn't bare going back and leaving Mum. Its a shame every area isn't the same as one another ain't it.
Haven't flushed my shit still lol. Feeling very strange today. No energy and that skin crawling feeling still! I finished work last night at 10.30pm and been knackered since. Idiots at work have lost my sick note so no pay for me! Gotta get another off doc tomorrow and I'll get the pay end of next month! Wankers! But overall I'm alright

NHS scripting. There are grandfathered prescriptions in all different parts of the country but the difference there is they will offer NEW Diamorph scripts to people as young as eighteen provided they can show a 3 year injecting history and failure on the other options; MST and DFs are also available from the specialist consultants Rupert White and Alison Battersby (their names are already publicly available so I don't think it against the rules to post them.) New Dexedrine scripts have moved to daily dosing though and some people on SupC are expected to take their dose on closed-circuit telly, a travesty of civil liberties. Serapax and Ativan are offered in place of diazzies in certain medical comorbidities.
A handful of Mother Superior smackheads, benzo victims and speed freaks are on massive scripts in most areas: the old British System people. They get their blue script once a week (for Diamorph, mst or meth) and their green script for benzos, dexies or even chloral hydrate or meprobamate once a month. Some even get 2-4 weeks worth of Diconal off their GP at a time. Fine if you're 50 and a "lifer In the prison of dependence" as one eloquently put it to me. Not so fine at 21 when you want to kick your habit with a life still ahead of you and a chance at escaping the prison/funny farm/getting turned down for all jobs due to rap sheet cycle. Erin O'Mara in Black Poppy complained how much she had to go through before getting her prescription for dry amps in London.

I can understand people remaining on scripts grandfathered from the old British system, & am aware that in other parts of the country some are prescribed benzo maintenance for various reasons. Or other more contentious pharms, but it still shows that drug treatment varies hugely across the country. When it shouldn't, it really is a lottery code. Before the CDT days a GP nearing retirement was prescribing chloral-hydrate as well as large benzo scripts & palf ( for pain ) but that all stopped when he left the surgery. A younger more ambitious GP took his place, had a clear out of all dependants & marched them all to the local CDT.
I wonder if there are figures available showing if this kind of prescribing is any more successful than the usual options of meth or bupe ?
There just aren't enough GPs holding a licence for prescribing diamorph. IMO there should be one in every area. Not much chance of that in these recovery orientated times though is there.

Hi all hope everyone is fine and dandy. Last night was the first time I actually felt glad about not having anything in my body. When I saw that snow come down I thought thank F*** I don't atta go to chemist anymore lol. It took me 3 an half hours to get my kids home last night after work. The only good thing about the snow is it makes my area look pretty for once
Hope your all enjoying snowball fights

Strangely enough up in the usually frozen North it's a very still & bright day. There is even a strange looking shiny disc visible in the sky, must be the sun
. No doubt the snow will reach us soon though, glad you're feeling so good Angie. It's taken a while & a lot of determination on your part, must be coming on for 4 months now (?)
Through a snowball at somebody for me while you're at it.
Enjoy !

Thought it would be a great day today ,as it was bombing it down with Snow last night, woke up with Arrianna this morning and it was slush,GUTTED,Arrianna was as well(she got a hand sledge for Christmas),started saying bad snow for going,Bless her.
Had to laugh AngiesimsAKATruegrit,"When i saw the Snow thought i dont have to go down the chemist anymore",when i looked out the window and it was snowing that also came into my head ,it was a bit like "oh im so glad ive picked up already, those on daily pickups have got it bad if they aint picked up already(with a little grin on my face).
Well your certainly in a good mood today and so you should be as well, still going strong, and getting feeling's of grandeur about not doing anything, fair play.So how you feeling overall?, still getting the skin crawling and no energy now and again is it getting longer apart from each other as your substance free body continues to get better, thats what it was like when i went through what you have done.Every day i was getting better my symptoms seemed to come still but less and less.As for the shit put it in the back of the cupboard forget about it ,next time you come across it you might just throw it without thinking ,I did it with my ammonia and it worked. All the best to you & family ,Froude

Its freeeeeeeezing today OP
I hate this cold weather but the kids love it. It was 3 month yesterday lol. Its strange because it was 12 weeks last week lol but its 3 months and one day today
Froude I am still getting the skin crawling and no energy yep
its a killer some days. But I'm just plodding on. I will keep my stash no doubt about that lmao!
Well if anything was gonna test me its this. Went to hospital with my mum on monday, her vision is bad in her right eye, can only see a grey mist. After 4 hours of scans, tests etc she was told she has age related macular degeneration
In her right eye its wet damaged so is irreparable and her left eye is dry damaged but could become wet damaged in time! I'm absolutely fucking devastated! Watching my mother who is nearly 70yrs old have all these tests, knowing she was wishing my father was here so much killed me inside. My mum smokes a obscene amount of ciggie's daily and its the only enjoyment she has in her life without dad (apart from family) she has been told to taper down to stopping! If I'm honest she smokes 60+ a day! How the hell is she gonna manage that! So now its a case of constant hospital appointments to ensure her left eye is ok. Tell ya what if owt was gonna make me score or drink some green I would of been that! But I just thought whilst watching her thank god I'm off this so I can be there all the time for her. My mum is not one to be told what to do, a fiery little geordie she is, but I will make sure she cuts down I just know she won't ever stop. Therefore its a waiting game. Gutted
