The three legged seagull is no stranger to this neck of the woods. My neighbour is Lord of the Gulls, flocks of them encircle him when he takes out his leftovers on a silver plate to them ( which is illeagal, feeding them that is ) he's knocking on 90 & has reduced his vast alcohol intake down to three specials a day. Either it was the Recovery Gull that has helped him sober up a bit, or the stroke he suffered a few weeks ago. Possibly it was the Recovery gull that induced the stroke now I come to think of it ??
That's it, I'm not leaving the house for fear of being struck down by said Recovery Gull !!

Oh god, we've got (we call him) the mad pigeon man of the north here!! He literally has thousands of pigeons circling him, landing on him, pecking him and whatever whilst he feeds them, he's been told to stop by the council cos they say it "encourages" the pigeons. Encourages them to do what, I don't know??
Oh, and the recovery gull is evil, if it spys you leaving the house with any leftovers for the birds it'll swoop in and try and bully you to drop the food so it can eat it all!

In that case maybe he's driven the three legged seagull of Recovery off then. In all my days as his neighbour he's been one of these drinkers that just needs to top up every hour or so, has been all his life a rough, tough welder from the East coast of Scotland. The day he stops drinking will be his last, the only form of recovery he's ever heard of was from his stroke, I knew he'd be fine once he managed his first beer and after being so incoherent for years due to the booze you would never of known he'd had a stroke. If I were to mention recovery to him in relation to alcohol the answer would be ...mmmmreco,recovery what, you fuckinre-recover,ya fucker ,I'll re-recover youyacunt. He's in his 80s, I've never been one but alcoholics fascinate me, they way they can continue to function running on a steady supply of booze. If they don't cause any trouble like my next door neighbour then it's socially acceptable, people just say he likes a drink. Nobody is on his back to reduce his consumption, not even his GP though he did try but got the feck off reply.
Re-assuring to know that you have your own mad bird man though, every good area should have one!
