So the DAT commissioning service staff decide to "do some covering" then step in and pretend to be the recovery champions because it just looks better; you know for the commissioners?! I always see the recovery champions posing as slightly obese curly headed women donning glasses and holding certificates of some kind, along with their shop-a-check vouchers and cheesy grins.  An odd stereotype for the service user. I wonder if the shoot took place at head office of Public Health England where they fly all purple flags like the UN fly all national flags. I wonder if Addiction Today and Wired In were invited down with their most hard line,militant, abstinent, recovery editors to write another piece to forward to all DAT services up & down the country. The marches have failed them. I love their one sided public debates featuring: The Purple Mafia Recovery Champions Vs The I Was A Crackhead But Now A Commissioner in each corner.
