Trying to conqour the ignorance on Addiction

« Reply #30 on: October 18, 2011, 11:11:41 PM »

The thing is I bet a genuine addict or recovering addict have never even been near the addiction today and wired-in sites. I think that maybe sock accounts have been developed here for spin by the agents lobbying for the recovery agenda.  I am an addict or recovering addict and have been for generations and I know there are other experienced addicts and recovering addicts similar to me on this site. I have experienced many different detoxes of heroin, alcohol, and methadone. Its just I don't see any similarities in wired in posts. I would never be bragging on a website blog about doing so so well after giving up maintenance. I would not find the time. I would be too busy trying to sort and level out my head. Or I would be finding hobbies or doing other more constructive things to do to make amends for my years of addiction. I wouldn't have time to brag about how clean I have been every single week. Also when you log in you feel like the blogs are more for staff nurses and keys or commissioners of nta or cri or other recovery run groups. Im not sure. I have my suspiscions.

I find the idea of forum sock pupperty really fascinating, as in why would someone do it? There was a uni lecturer who advised the government on whatever and on his forum he did sock puppet posts supporting his theories and was promptly sacked when said sock puppets where discovered!
