Trying to conqour the ignorance on Addiction

Gross negligence and standards of care violation regarding pain pill distribution in private medical care. Was Michael Jackson to blame for his own death?

The drugs probably helped him forget how he violated children.

Did he do that?? I am not sure I wasn't there. Who knows? I only posted it brcause it was being shown live and for its has some small connection with medical interference in vulnerable addicts lives. Money over care.

Jarvis Cocker really went up in my estimation when he jumped on stage and wiggled his ass during the Jackson performance with a bunch of kids at the Brits. The Jackson entourage ensured he was not only roughed up but spent a night in the cells for being the one member of the audience to protest what was close to an obscene travesty.

He was a great dancer and made a couple of cracking records but the way he bought his way out of pedophilia charges and appealed to his 'fans' what a hard time he was being given made me cringe. He had his mitigating factors, perhaps, but the way in which his delusions were perpetuated and best interests ignored by a management determined to exploit their golden goose ensured his story would end very sadly.

I was under the impression this was a site called The Methadone Alliance, not NONCES R US,Micheal Jackson was a nonce who payed for his silence,as Simon says he probably took those drugs to forget that he liked getting in bed with children, good singer song writer but then again Paul Gadd (Gary Glitter)was a icon in the70s and we all know what he is , all the best Froude

I have had this discussion regarding Michael Jackson's guilt or innocence many times. It seems that whenever I've discussed the subject with people it always strikes up opposing opinions.

My personal opinion is that he is (or was) no danger 2 children. I do think he was very naïve in letting other peoples children sleep in his bed. But I also think that we as a society need 2 look at our attitudes 2 how we don't want 2 look like nonces-especially when that sometimes means possibly putting children in harms way.

What I mean by that is that as decent adults it is a natural instinct 2 want 2 protect children. I think that is why we as a society rightly look at peadophiles with such digust & anger. I believe these types of people are not capable of being rehabilatated, as their depraved choice of sexual urge can only be supressed. Its like asking me 2 suddenly stop finding women attractive, which is why I believe whether they are done for downloading images or other sick acts they should be chemically chastrated.

Because of our fear of being falsely labelled a nonce, if I see a young child lost & distressed in the street, I naturally want 2 go & help them, but I am frightened of my help being misunderstood. So there have been a couple of occasions where I have shamefully had 2 walk away. I have spoke about these occasions with mates & now if I see a child lost & nobody was there I would phone the police. If it was in town I would ask a security guard from a shop 2 help them.

I think that he probably pressured loads of doctors into prescribing all sorts of shit for him, people were just scared to say NO to him. To me, I'm sure even if he didn't actually kill himself he didn't help himself and I feel a bit sorry for the doctor.

I'm not sure about whether he actually was a "nonce" or not, but given the weird way he acted about things I am inclined to think he probably was.

TBH, I think his music is WAY over rated and I'm a bit "meh" about the whole thing.

If anyone I knew I found out was sleeping with little kids in their bed I would be at bit  Shocked about it.

I wouldn't have trusted him with my cats, he nearly lobbed his own son out of a windows for fucks sake!

Although I am biased, asI said I think his music is over rated and crap.

At the end of the day,Money talks and Bullshit walks, yeah definately got the same opinion as Saph when it comes down to the drugs, seems to me if you live in the U.S.A and have money any drug is available over the counter from a Doctors perscription, even medical weed.Never had a childhood either,he was in the recording studio or on Tour,so no Action men or Tonka toys for jacko,All the best Froude

Trying to conqour the ignorance on Addiction

« Reply #11 on: September 28, 2011, 04:28:47 PM »

I obviously made a mistake here as this was my first ever post. I couldn't work out how to post on the forum and then I found out how to and got a little over-excited and wanted to post something to see if it worked. I couldn't think of a post that would be different to ones already posted. At that very time I switched on to Sky News and see the 'Who killed Jacko' TV show trial being aired live from America. I guess the Sky / Fox News team would have known the amount of viewer attraction the O.J trial received worldwide. So it was naturally going to take up the whole week of the Sky News schedule. The court case was in full swing talking about how the Jacko family' kwack should have known better prescribing killer style pain pills and other meds to Wacko Jacko R.I.P and that manslaughter would be the necessary judgement he would receive. I thought I would use this debate of whether to believe the prosecution or defense on whether the doctor was at fault for accepting huge sums of money to the tune of $150,000 a month in exchange for issuing never ending supplies to The King of Pop. I didn't intend for this post to be a discussion of whether Jacko was a peadophile or whether he was not. I would have not posted it otherwise. I wanted to keep it as a subject closer to the issue of mal practice in prescribing and health care surrounding opiate type medicine. My mistake sorry. Peace John  Cool

Well, to give a short answer, yes.

For showbiz Dr Feelgoods, the bucks are big and the fringe benefits considerable. Did the doctor dole out similar prescriptions to addicts on Medicare? If he did, let him go; if he didn't, well, the society of spectacle needs its scapegoats and he'll doubtless end up with the mortgage swindlers and Ponzi scammers in one of the 'country club' prisons the Americans provide for their disgraced professional classes.

Excellent answer Dereck. I agree. It seems money talks especially in America. That seems to be the truth in whats going on. The under educated and less wealthy have to commit an illegal act to get a hold of their wonder cure - but the wealthy and rich have doctors queuing up to fill their pockets with the same drugs without the red tape and without being frisked and zapped with the 250 volt taser or sentenced to 199 years if found in possession.  Tongue This is an open and shut case I reckon. The trilateral commission have already rigged the jury for this one.
