Do you know their policy on employing people on scripts? Or is it don't ask, don't tell?

Shame so many peopleon MMT as excluded from working in lots of social care positions just for the fact of still being on a script, despite the fact they might not have used illict drugs for 10 years or whatever.

Are you looking for a job in drug treatment, Sapph?

You certainly know more and would undoubtedly be a lot more help to the younger service user than the present motley crew of jobsworths and wanna-be do gooders. But I suspect that, even if your habit doesn't disqualify you, you'd soon grow disillusioned with the petty office powerplays and the obligation to follow 'orders'. I don't know of practising users in dsp employ but those rehabiliated ones with half a mind quickly tire of it all and move along. Leaves only the fanatics, the dim brainwashed and those seeking to maintain their addictive behaviours as anti-drug addicts.

So good luck!

I don't know really Derek. It just annoys me that most "recovery" services will not employ or have as volunteers scripted people, even if it was 10 years since they last took a drug.

I would rather have a key stable on MMT than some fool who thinks a bareback rattle is the "best" way to "do it".

Do what, I do not know, end up in A&E or the psych ward I would imagine.

Methadone is very very bad for you - so why maintain it then? Perople need it you thick gits, if you didnt want a nation on Methadone to "arm" them with what they need to get "clean" then you should have given them exacally what there addicted to in the first place (Diamorph) and then tackle the issue from there. So friggin thick!

We need to start lisning to the users and give them what they are asking for, get more doctors sighned up to this registaer and get past results from addicts in the UK that was on or still are prescribed Diamorph. See what they tell us.?
