thanks to a tip from derek (cheers buddy!) i've discovered the site "top documentary films" and it's brilliant. there are tons of films on a large range of subjects and if docu's are your thing at all you'll love it. there's a whole section about drugs and related stuff and today i watched "dope sick love." i really enjoyed it. well, i dunno, maybe enjoy isn't really the word but it kept me engrossed. there was a fair bit of being able to relate. although not a part of making money these days, i did, when i was younger, work on the street, on the game, whatever you wanna call it, and seeing this film brought back a lot of memories. i'm really very open about this part of my history, i don't feel ashamed about it, i did what i had to do. i mean, i'm not proud of it either, it just was what it was. anyway, i thought it was a good little documentary. it was basicly just a pair of couples, heroin and crack addicts and they've been followed around, everything they do getting caught on camera. i'm sure if watched by your average joe the whole thing is gonna appear to be extremely dark and sleazy and well, a lot of it is. worth a watch though, atleast i thought so. the list of documentaries they have is massive. there's enough to keep me going for a good while yet.

I watched this yesterday, it has left me wondering what happenned to the people in the docu though. Sometimes at the end of these type of docs they do an "update" type thing on the subjects but as they didn't it just left you wondering what the outcome was.

Watching films like this causes me to wonder if I'm the only narcotic addict in the world not to have sold my butt to fund my dependency. I hope I haven't missed out on anything.

Started to watch the tragic tale of the lad who lost his penis during a botched circumcision but it soon had me crossing my legs and wanting to close my mind to the subject altogether. Suppose something similar is responsible for the folly of drug laws and the 'war' to implement them.

The story of the 'Cocaine Cowboys' is certainly an education. The whole of Miami appears to have been built on drugs money and the guys bringing in it at $5million a pop sure had a party. When it was over, booming service industries like car distributorships and nightclubs collapsed overnight. Renovation and revival only came in the wake of movies and tv shows like Miami Vice. America - you couldn't make it up.

Am gona have to get a faster internet connection, sounds like I'm missing out on some real good stuff. Don't really watch tv. Work, read books & look after the kids on days off. I wonder if BT will accept my butt as payment for the debt that prevents me from getting a better connection. I have been told that it's not a bad butt by both straights & gays, dunno if BT will think it's worth the £700 owed to them though ! Roll Eyes
