I have come across and used the following and they seem to be really good.
This first one cleans up all unused stuff that is in your PC and it shows you a list of programs that automatically start when you first switch on your computer, and lets you get rid of anything that you don't use or just simply switch it off so that it doesn't use you PC's energy on something that you don't use.
This is called Revo-uninstaller, its free and the link is below.
http://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninstaller_free_download.html
(go to bottom right for free download).
The second (smart de-frag) is a program that acts just like the de-frag that is all ready in any Windows PC or Laptop and what this does is gets rid of breaks in the memory - allowing more memory in the future, and it also moves files to a better stored place for that particular computer.
This link is here and this is also free:

And download, Its really easy to use once downloaded. Just click on de-frag and whach the colors on screen do their dancing!
And then this last one im not quite sure what it does, but the guy who gave me the two above also put this one on to my PC so it must do something! It's called CCleaner, but after looking on Google.. I can see that the C stands for "crap - Crap-cleaner! Is it anygood I wonder?

Good choices Matty I use most of those programs already. The CCleaner as you say stands for "crap cleaner," it just clears most of of the traces left behind when you are browsing the net , I think it also cleans up empty folders, 0 byte files, and other junk that accumulates on your PC. If you decide to use it have a look in the options menu and set it to do what you want with cookies (retain the ones you want). By default I think it removes all of them which means you might lose a few log-ins and passwords. Its a pretty good program but it can work too well so check the options or you can lose things you are not expecting to.
Actually that's a good rule of thumb for all of those multi cleanup/optimise type apps, check the options for their default policy on cookies and have a good look at exactly what they are going to do before you run them.
