I wonder if that includes suicide deaths in priison (which is 4 times the average in the community)  and on discharge from mental health wards.

An NPSA report last year on patient safety incidents during April-September 2008 shows that 627 people died in 64,353 mental health-related patient safety incidents, though it does not state how many of them were being treated as inpatients on psychiatric wards.

That's over 104 patients a month .....so 26 patients a week.

Actually that should have read suicide deaths in prison 14 times the average in the community. (Info from mental health journal.) It depends on where you find your stats but you get the picture.
