Carers Week 14-20 June 2010
Dear Carer
WRITE TO YOUR LOCAL NEWSPAPER
We have prepared a short 'template' letter which we would like to suggest you use and adapt as a basis for sending a personal letter to your local newspaper.
The purpose is to 'spread the word' about what life as a carer is really like, on a daily basis, and to call for carers to receive the
support and recognition that is needed. Also to highlight that many carers still don’t know about the help and support that is available and to publicise the organisations and places that offer assistance.
If you would like to take part in the campaign please reply to this message, and I will send you the draft we have prepared.
10% OFF VOUCHERS
Can I also take this opportunity to remind you that to celebrate Carers Week, Superdrug have once again produced 10% off vouchers, available only to carers. If you would like to obtain some vouchers, together with our latest Advice & Information booklet, please go to
http://www.carersweek.org/carer_page.asp?id=153
Best wishes.
Paul
