 Give it time mate, your're lucky the methadone hasn't totally mullered your sex drive to the point you cant even try. Mine comes and goes but a lleast its not as bad as street gear which totally destroyed any interest I had in sex for a long time. If it helps my partner and I have been on methodone(linctus) scriptsfor ever and have three healthy, beautiful, happy, funny amazing young uns. With hindsight you'll see the timing was like that for a reason, thats what happened with me anyway!

The only other thing i can think about saying other than what i have already in this thread, when me and my partner were trying, we would delay the time we went to get our meth basically wait till you fell a bit strung out not great sex all the time but it does do the job, finnished and complete.  After weeks of trying we could have sex but you know there was no end result and it was effecting his coinfidence so i suggested this concept and trust me, his coinfidence is now boosted again

Before me and my husband had kids,he used to be prescribed Pharmecutical Speed (Methamphetamine) and Diamorphine Amps.. When they changed his script to meth amps,it was when he was changing scripts is when I got preg  or his use of 'street speed' 3 kids later we dont think about babies anymore. Plus his Amytriptyline dont help matters,they are WORSE than Methadone for messing with your Libido

I've heard methadone can actually make you more fertile - although I have no idea what the evidence is for that, if any. That has been my personal experience - I got pregnant 3 times on methadone - the second two times were within a month of giving birth and I'd only had sex once. Before going on methadone I was very irresponsible with contraception but didn't ever get pregnant. Is there anything else in either of your lifestyles that could be affecting fertility - or any other medications you are on? Or maybe it's a sort of secondary thing - as a result of other side effects from methadone like loss of sex drive, weight gain, lack of energy?
I'd be interested to know if there's any firm evidence on this either way  - and I know this is much easier said than done but try not to worry!! In my experience, worrying about your fertility seems to hamper it even more!x
