Franklin Hi
This slipped past me.
My reaction to this post would have been that there is always the concentrate available if a patient cannot tolerate 1mg/1ml solutions. It is not popular for very good reasons but i have seen it become a life saver for some.
In my old clinic it would sometimes be given to people who have these abdominal problems due to drink.
They would turn up for supervised consumption and as you and others describe well.....back up it comes. It all depends on how quickly you bring it back up obviously. It is absorbed pretty quick but of course it's no good if it comes straight back up.
Things seem to be improving right now so i would be inclined to leave as is.
My best

Hail TonyB and greetings!
Her local CSMT doesn't do concentrated solutions, and they did buggar her about yesterday, despite a clean piss test, and she lapsed (1 bag + 1 stone). I am not down-hearted, however, since her attitude to life seems generally so much improved. I do not know quite what this is down to, it may be that she has now got a flat-mate she can 'mother' who is not a user, scarcely older than her son, daughter of her chum who is a heavy user currently in Forston Hall awaiting trial on many counts, or possibly because when I took her to Court the other day, while the bench was very charitable (small fine & no costs), the chair was very clear that she should not expect mercy again. It might be, I suppose, that she recognises that
she
matters - I had only found out about her shop-lifting by accident, over-hearing a conversation between third parties, and then had to prise the truth out of her with a crow bar. She finally produced her P4 to me at 16:00, we visited a solicitor at 16:30 on the Monday, to have it confirmed that she was, indeed, due in Court 80 miles away, at 14:15 the following day. We have both behaved, on occasion, extremely badly to one another, and it may be that she thought I would be angry, and was too embarrassed to ask for help. On this occasion my behaviour was, if I say so myself, exemplary, and this may have convinced her that love, with a small 'l', is absolute and unconditional (she has low self-esteem and lacks confidence).
She does have a timed appointment with her clinic doctor next Thursday, when alternatives such as Physeptone, Subutex or Suboxone can be explored.
I am not an innocent abroad, I used all sorts of things in the sixties.

I have suffered with regular nausea (with occasional vomiting) for a few years. Because I suffer with anxiety problems, my gp seems to think that this is the cause.
He prescribed me a course of domperidone, which seemed to help for a few weeks, but after taking it daily for about 4-5 weeks, I found that it was becoming less effective in treating my nausea. I went back to him, and requested a prescription of cyclizine, as when I was a teenager I suffered with motion sickness and my mum would give me a valoid tablet, which would help.
My gp is aware that I am on methadone (although he does'nt prescribe it to me), but he hasn't mentioned that it's a problem for me to get cyclizine and methadone. I think that this is because I have no history of injecting.
The main point I wanted to make was that your friend may find oral cyclizine effective in reducing her anxiety, although some dr's won't prescribe it to opiate users.
