I got 2 new books for Christmas "Can't be Arsed" and "Grumpy Old Gits Guide To Life",the first was from the misses and the second off her Aunty. Are they trying to say im a Grumpy bastard that cant be arsed to do anything, because if so they are right lol, thats what you get for smoking weed all the time.I will be reading the "Cant be Arsed" need cheering up after Arrianna having a Police uniform with baton, plus a firemans uniform and AXE,im wondering what she will wake me up with first lol,Baton in the face or Axe in the head. Was going to put what books Arrianna had for Christmas, but Barbie,Postman Pat are just too much for my head lol.HAPPY NEW YEAR,All the best Froude.

hmmm, seems to be a bit of a connection there froude !? Christmas is just for kiddies really unless you have no kids & it's just an excuse to get out your brains if you haven't. Whether it be grandma's sherry or a man sized bottle of spirits. I always think that your prescribing GP should at least give you a merry pack of opiates, diamorph, oramorph (bottles), even a xmas box of diconal for those that want. Especially if you won't be driking yourself under the table. It's so commercial now, it's not fair for the parents that can't afford stuff. Saying that I would definetly start saving to take Arianna to Lapland to see Santa, it's been the high point of my year for sure. Seeing them meet the man himself in a Snow covered grotto & I didn't even take any extra drugs with me just my meth. Typically the airport you land in is so far North it's just a shed, no customs, fuck all. I could have taken a kilo of the smelliest cheez with me, but I'm glad I didn't. All my memories will be unstoned. A few doobs would have been ok now I think about it  Grin
Sorry this has nothing to do with books  Roll Eyes
This week I have mainly been reading " His current woman " written by a polish author who this has been the first translation of any of his work into English.
His name is Jerzy Pilch. Don't know if any of his other books have been translated, but anyone who has been in a relationship will get a good laugh out of it. ( I  hope! )

Off the subject of books Sorry but did you see the Northern Lights OP?? I would so love to go to Lapland even though I hate the cold. Just for the kids to see Santa. But I would LOVE to see Northern Lights. Be like watching a Floyd concert or orbital chime  Grin

I can see the Northen lights from my sittingroom with the curtains open, I'm quite far North anyway. There was a trip to look for them as it was cloudy where the log-cabins were, cost to much & it was a bit late for the kids though. From looking at the postcards the were a bit better from the view from my sitting room. We used to take lsd or mushies when younger & go out to look at them from where I live, had to stop that though after somebody nearly fell off a cliff he was so busy looking up. Good memories though  Grin

yeah your right about that mate   Grin I do get to see them several times a year though they aren't as full on as if you were on the North pole. Watching the Northern Lights while smoking Northern Lights, not many can say they've done that before I bet.
Angie, you should be writing a book, obviously you would have to big-up the Opiate-Allstars & would be nice if you fell down on the side of diamorph maintenance for those that wish. Your detox being the final chapter & if you're living in an area where police helicopter lights are all that you see then your home detox is all the more admirable.

Just get the best publishing deal available, sit back & watch the money pouring in. I'm sure the Alliance could do with any donated cash to put towards the " R for Rolleston " bill-board posters ? Grin

Just finished 2 books ,the first was Postman Pat,which was very entertaining.Pat loses his post bag and it goes travelling through "GREENDALE",eventually he finds it at the Farm, well written, and the colours in the pictures were brilliant, page 6 has a fruit salad on it (didnt want to take it off as it is STUCK and will rip the page)so had to make the story a bit(sweet now gone).

The second book which i thought was better was called Mr Tumble, and he is a funny man that goes on Adventure's ,(bit like Frank Spencer),well written and you can inter act with the book, which i found hard to do,but it was ok as my 3 yr old helped me and we both enjoyed it.No messy sweet this time so read the whole book ,it was funny especially when Mr Tumble went in the sea with his shoes on.All in all a every entertaining read from both books ,tomorrow it is Snow White and Seven Dwarfs. All the best Froude
