I went back a few days working on the principal that if the post was too  days old then any advice was probably pointless.

Thanks Dino.

I can't work out the previous post. Who sent it, and when? I've looked over the last few pages but unless it was sent today I cannot work out who sent it.
H4UTC, did you receive a personal email asking for advice and have forwarded it to the forum? Anyway, if some one does need a script for 4 days then I suggest s/he calls our helpline tomorrow between 10:00 and 17:00 - 0845 122 8608, and we'll do our best to help. Paperwork from present treatment provider will be necessary.

Thanks for the Props, The TV, Program will be Aired on the 17th, now BBC2W, I'll give you more Info Very soon..

But yeah Cheers, Ive nearly Finished This painting..I did'nt think People would Enjoy them, There for a show hopefully in march next year along with graffiti-urban art work I'll be doing, But These paintings are important to me..

Anyway a couple of images, Ive nearly Finished apart from the tattoo's and some tweaks and adjustments..
Its a small painting while I get used to Acrylics, there cool, But Oils hold the light better IMO, Esp if your working in Glazes.
I'm going to do some more small ones just to get the feel of acrylics more, then start working on some large f*ckers, You'll notice the canvases in the background, I'll paint the big ones in Acrylics with oils on top, I'll see how I get on.
Just glad I'm able to paint again.
These are mixed media, Acrylic-Spray- paint. And An Added Ingredient I mixed with the Paint, Lets say It wouldn't pass a PeeTest..
With the Background I might put in some words, I'm not sure Anyway..

I think Photos of Paintings Esp this size (small) look lame on PC monitors, you don't see the colour! has you would in the flesh, And different PC's make paintings, & pieces look different, Esp the old big monitors.
I've got my settings on my display on my PC how I like them, Its a new PC too, HD looks wicked, Anyway I'm faffing on..

I plan to start Working on around 10 paintings at the same time, Its better like that, I'm still not sure using Acrylics paints, But its getting better.

Many Thanks, Dave

The Documentary Goes out on Monday 17th December 7:30pm, A Vandals tale Its called.

Quote
Series tracing the people and places featured in past BBC Wales documentaries. In 1993, the BBC broadcast 'The Vandal's Tale' about three teens from a Cardiff council estate who painted graffiti to escape boredom and poverty. 15 years on, the trio, now grown men, reflect on whether graffiti is vandalism or art.

Yea, seems good in theory & all that. Personally with working full-time often doing shifts that I spend plenty of time posting & reading. If anybody wants to talk about anything in particular then they usually PM me ( & I will always find time for a reply ) though if the person turns out to be a gobshite I will cease communications immeadiately!LOL! Thankfully it's never come down to that...quite. In general the sight seems to be a bit busier than when I joined, though I could be wrong & most of the posts are from caring considerate folks, with I would hazard to guess have a higher IQ than most. It's a good place though, yeah Smiley

this was the first thread i had a look at when I reg'd with this site yesterday, surprised its so quiet. To be honest I only reg'd to t5y and get a better picture of the scale of this drought and to (SHAMEFULLY) maybe pinpoint where Icould still find good gear. I'm a scripted occassional user these days and nowhere near as hardcore as I was a few years back. Having a family of your own who depend on you for your time, patience, help, financial and emmotional support kind of makes you galvanise and get your shit together. Anyhow like I said, I thought I might be able to locate pockets of good quality gear by scanning through the site, What has actually happened because of all the honesty and sincerity ive been reading is a rebirth of my resolve to get completely clean. So thank you, all of you, for reminding me to get off the rollercoaster and take stock once in a while.

I may be a million miles from where I was with my heroin use a few years back, but before this drought hit I was 'flying a bit close to the sun' really. My amazing little tribe deserve so much more than that. That said, I know for a fact that when(and if) the better quality gear returns I will use at least once. My selfish little ego doesnt cope to well with having decisions forced on it and for this reason alone the drought is a massive wind up. But I do promise to keep moving in the right direction and not let myself slip back again. take care everyone when the 'real' gear returns, you're tollerences will be MUCH lower than usual. Be lucky, be happy.....Monk (of the long brown habit)

Good point about tolerances there, Monk.

And thanks for the giggle - it's been a bad week and your sign-off made me crack a smile for the first time today...

Hi monk ( great name! ) your spot on about having a family making you see things from a different perspective, that was what prompted me into getting a meth script which before my partner had our beautiful little tribe I tried to avoid doing at all costs. Now I feel as if it was one of the best decisions I have ever made, though I do occassionally use gear. When I was referred to the meth clinic by my GP the Outreach worker said that it would mean that I didn't have to go through the constant cycle of scoring, spending cash which I can now spend on the kids which is far more rewarding than spending it on gear as I'm sure you know yourself. The Outreach worker was somebody who I had grown up with & had used with as well before she stopped altogether after a getting nicked by the coppers & having to give birth while still serving her sentence. She said to me that it would mean that I could use for special occassions, but I expect that was just to get me through the door. So like you I still do use but it's becoming to be less with every year, birthdays etc. or if it's very good quality.
I can't remember who said it but I once read a quote saying that " our children are our only salvation " or words to that effect. In my case & by the sounds of it yours as well it certainly rings true & now I have got to the point where I am toying with the idea of trying to reduce the meth down a bit again when spring comes. Having your own kids is the best life experience I have ever had, I honestly don't think that I would be here today if it wasn't for them. When I'm down the give me a reason to go on & I love watching them grow up with their little imaginations developing. They are a constant reminder of what my purpose in life is now.
I'm sure you feel the same.
Hope you have a lovely family xmas.

Hi everyone just a quick one to say Happy New Ear and let's hope we all get through this year with relatively fewer scrapes and bruises. Mentally and Physically
I'm a new member here and work shifts so my postings will be sporadic and badly spelt... LOL
Anyway I'm an old time user with 30 yrs of using under my belt (so to speak) so if i can help ANYONE about ANYTHING that would be fine by me.
Gotta go now but i look foreward to bouncing off a few people and a few ideas....
